Drills of the Week Price Increase Announcement

Beginning March 1, 2023, there will be a price increase for individual Drills of the Week files. This is due to merchant processing fees that increased in 2021.

In order to offer another economical option for our customers, we will sell all the drills as a collection in one pdf file at a reduced rate. If additional drills are added in the future, they will be offered for sale individually, but will also be added to the collection file at a reduced rate.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Congratulations to Mattheus!

We solicited feedback from you for different transpositions you would like to purchase from the Drill of the Week collection. Mattheus suggested BBb (non-transposing) for Drill of the Week #2, Peanut Butter Long Tones. It is now available in the Online Store and Mattheus received a complimentary version via email this morning. All new Drills in BBb will have this logo color scheme. Keep the suggestions coming!

Find the new BBb (non-transposing) Drill of the Week #2, Peanut Butter Long Tones by clicking here.

We are looking for your input on Drills of the Week!

Over the years, there have been multiple requests to provide the Drills of the Week in various keys and clefs. We would like your input. Please respond via this form and feel free to share it on social media.

Use one form per request in order to keep the communication clear. For example, select which Drill in the Dropdown Menu that you would like to have an alternate version for and in the Description Box, specify the clef and key for that particular Drill. If your suggestion is accepted, you will receive a complimentary copy! Suggestions will be accepted on a first-come/first-serve basis.

OK, let’s hear it!

New repertoire arriving in the Chris Olka Online Store….

No, we don’t just sit around and drink beer all day! We have been busy, and as a result, we are going to be adding downloadable PDF files of new repertoire for tuba and piano to the Chris Olka Online Store. These selections will be music that you may or may not have heard performed before! Please add chrisolka.com to your browser bookmarks so that you can periodically check in with us for new items that might be available. In the meantime, take a look at the newest addition.

chrisolka.com and The Dirty Thirty

Hey guys, I hope you all have had a great Thanksgiving and a peaceful weekend so far. I’ve got big news today! After more than ten years and thousands of requests from tuba players around the world asking for the “sheet music” for my YouTube Channel Series “Drill of the Week,” my wife has taken the initiative and learned web design during the COVID lockdown. The result is my own website chrisolka.com that will host my current recordings along with the downloadable PDF files for each of the videos in this series!
The first test of this website will be a multi-part PDF for my new “Dirty Thirty” https://youtu.be/bzIokSXvzLE YouTube warm-up video. If you’d like to download the sheet music to play along with the video or use for your own warm-up, simply visit my web store and download the music for it here: https://chrisolka.com/index.php/product/the-dirty-thirty/
If things go as planned and the website functions properly, we will start releasing the other PDFs for each “Drill of the Week” for download over the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, visit my new website, designed by my incredible wife, and see what you think. I hope you enjoy it!

Back in the day….

Occasionally, I will post some pictures from earlier in my career that are meaningful to me. Here is one from my days as a member of the TubaFours at Walt Disney World.
